Post-ticketing fees

What it costs to change, cancel or correct a ticket once it has been issued.

Last updated: August 2026

How post-ticketing charges work

Once your e-ticket is issued, any further work on the booking is handled by an agent directly with the airline. There are usually two amounts involved, and they are separate:

  1. The airline's own penalty and any fare difference. This is set by the airline and by the fare rules attached to your specific ticket. It is not ours, we do not keep any part of it, and it can be considerably larger than our fee.
  2. Our post-ticketing fee. This covers the agent's time in getting the change authorised, reissued and confirmed.

Before we touch anything, an agent will quote you both figures as a single total and wait for you to approve it. Nothing is charged, and no change is made, until you say yes.

Our post-ticketing fees

Charged per passenger, per ticket, in USD, and always in addition to whatever the airline charges.

When we charge nothing

There is no fee from us where the disruption is not of your making. That includes:

  • The airline cancels your flight or changes the schedule significantly.
  • You are denied boarding for a reason within the airline's control.
  • The airline downgrades your cabin.
  • A duplicate ticket was created by an error on our side.
  • We were unable to issue the itinerary you approved.

In those cases we will pursue the airline for a rebooking, refund or compensation on your behalf at no charge. Whether the airline pays out is ultimately the airline's decision.

Things worth knowing before you call

  • Name changes are not the same as name corrections. Most airlines will fix a misspelling but will not transfer a ticket to a different person. Where a change is refused, the only route is usually to cancel and rebook.
  • No-shows are the most expensive outcome. If you do not travel and do not tell anyone beforehand, most fares lose all value and no refund is possible. Call us before departure even if you are certain you cannot travel.
  • Credits carry their own deadlines. Airline credit is normally valid for a fixed period from the original issue date and often has to be used by the same passenger. We will tell you the expiry when the credit is created.
  • Refunds move at the airline's pace. Once approved, the money passes through the airline and then your card issuer. See our cancellation and refund page for indicative timings.
  • Original service fees stay charged. The service fee paid at the time of booking is not returned when a ticket is later changed or cancelled.

Making a request

Post-ticketing requests are handled by phone so an agent can check the live fare rules with you rather than guess. Call +1 855 657 9056 with your booking reference to hand, or email info@atmosglide.com if your travel is not imminent.
