What a quoted fare includes
Unless an agent tells you otherwise, a fare we quote is per person, in USD, and includes:
- The airline's base fare for the cabin and fare class being quoted.
- Government and airport taxes.
- Carrier-imposed surcharges and mandatory fees.
Our service fee is stated separately so you can see the fare and our charge as two distinct numbers. You will be told the single all-in total before you are asked to pay anything.
What sits outside the fare
- Checked or excess baggage beyond the allowance included in your fare class.
- Seat selection, extra legroom and priority boarding.
- Meals and in-flight purchases on carriers that charge for them.
- Travel insurance.
- Visas, entry permits, health documentation and any charge collected at the airport.
- Airline penalties for changes or cancellations after ticketing.
Ask your agent to confirm the baggage allowance on your specific fare. Allowances differ sharply between fare classes on the same flight, and this is the single most common source of unexpected cost at the airport.
Why a phone quote can differ from a price on screen
Prices shown on this website come from live availability at that moment. Fares quoted by an agent may draw on contract and consolidator rates we are not permitted to publish, and may also use alternative routings or nearby airports. The two figures will therefore not always agree — in either direction. The fare that applies to your booking is the one an agent quotes and you approve on the call.
Fares change until the ticket is issued
Airline pricing is dynamic. Seats at a given fare are limited and can be sold while you are deciding. A quote is not a reservation, and a price is only fixed once the ticket has been issued and you have your airline reference.
If the fare changes between quote and ticketing, we will come back to you with the new figure and wait for your decision. We will not ticket at a higher price without telling you, and we will not silently substitute a different itinerary.
Advertised and sample fares
Fares shown in promotional material — on this site, in emails or in advertising — are illustrative examples of prices previously available. They are:
- Not offers capable of acceptance, and not guaranteed to be available now.
- Based on limited seat availability, specific dates and specific routings.
- Subject to change at any time without notice.
- Usually based on one adult travelling, with no optional extras.
Where a promotional price carries additional conditions, those conditions are shown with it. More on how promotional placement works is in our advertiser disclosure.
Currency
Prices are quoted and charged in USD ($). If your card is denominated in another currency, your issuer sets the exchange rate and may add its own conversion charge, so the amount on your statement can differ slightly from the figure we quoted. That difference is between you and your card issuer.
Errors
Very occasionally a price is displayed or quoted in error. Where an error is obvious, we reserve the right to correct it and to decline the booking rather than honour it — in which case we will tell you promptly and refund anything you have paid in full.
